The Church of the Ponds: History with Reminiscences 1710–1935
Digitized by the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center; Internet Archive > Written for the Church’s 225th Anniversary in 1935, this excellent book by multiple authors and contributions from the Church’s archives, contains local as well as ecclesiastical history. In earlier times pastors served multiple congregations, rotating services between, for example, Paramus and The Ponds, or Wyckoff and The Ponds, and the congregation history was intimately connected to wider historical events. Unfortunately, The Pond’s early membership, birth/baptism, marriage, and death records were lost on a fire in 1879. |
